Proper beard shaping from £10 — an easy 25-minute M6 run from Carlisle
Carlisle has no shortage of barbers, but a proper beard trim — one where someone actually shapes it rather than just taking length off — is harder to find than you'd expect. Too many places treat the beard as an afterthought. A quick buzz with the clippers, a rough line along the jaw, and you're out the door. The result looks fine for about two days, then it grows out messy because the shape was never right in the first place.
At BB's, the beard trim is a service in its own right. We use clippers, detail trimmers and scissors together to create a shape that works with your face — your actual face, not a one-size-fits-all template. We define the cheek line, set the neckline properly, blend the sideburns into the hair above, and make sure the overall length is even. The result is a beard that looks clean and intentional, and one that grows out well between visits rather than going shapeless after a week.
It's an easy run down the M6. Twenty minutes on the motorway, off at Junction 40, and you're pulling up outside with free parking. A lot of our Carlisle customers combine the beard trim with a haircut or fade — it makes sense to get everything done in one go. But standalone beard trims are just as welcome.
Head south from Carlisle on the M6. It's a straight motorway run — about 20 miles, roughly 25 minutes depending on traffic around Southwaite services. Come off at Junction 40, follow the the A6 south, and turn onto Skirsgill Lane. We're right there on the lane with free parking directly outside the door.
No hunting for spaces in Carlisle city centre, no multi-storey car parks, no lugging change for a meter. You pull up outside, walk in, and you're sorted. Several of our Carlisle regulars pop in on their way to or from work if they commute the M6 corridor. Book your slot online before you leave and there's no waiting around when you arrive.
